Casie brings to PYATOK a passion for problem solving and a strong attention to detail. She has a background in student design-build projects and experience in multifamily housing from her previous work in Baltimore, MD. Many of the Baltimore projects involved the historic preservation of 19th century mills, which were being renovated into housing and retail space. Since joining PYATOK, Casie has worked on the 23rd and Valdez Mixed-Use Development, a mixed-rate housing project located in Oakland’s growing Broadway-Valdez corridor.
Casie is an advocate for socially and environmentally sustainable architecture, with a belief that the built environment is a critical factor in both the health of society and the daily lives of people. As an Oakland resident, Casie organizes around housing equality issues and advocates for local affordable housing.
