With over 25 years of experience as an architect and management consultant, Lowell is PYATOK’s Operations Manager supporting the design team with his extensive knowledge of budgets and best practices.
After earning a B.S.Arch from the University of Virginia and an M.Arch from Princeton University, Lowell worked on all architectural phases of projects that ranged from commercial to institutional while at SmithGroup in Washington, DC. When the economy slowed, Lowell took the opportunity to earn an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and to pursue his entrepreneurial aspirations as a management and operations consultant serving the design and construction industries. Reflecting on the personal satisfaction derived as a volunteer for three Habitat for Humanity Blitz Builds, and the importance of housing as homes, Lowell shifted gears and re-entered the architectural world to focus on multifamily housing. This path led him to PYATOK whose meaningful work, Lowell believes, makes a difference in the lives of deserving people who might otherwise go underserved.
Lowell is a licensed architect in the Commonwealth of Virginia, holds LEED AP accreditation, and maintains a membership in NCARB. As a capable trim carpenter, Lowell enjoys spending his weekends making improvements to his home and garden.
