Avalon Mutual Housing serves a non-profit organization which houses people with severe mental illness in the community rather than in institutions. Built into a hillside, the lower floor comprises offices for the organization, a multi-purpose room, and tuck-under parking. The two upper floors include fifteen studio apartments as well as a common lounge and laundry rooms. The units look onto an organic garden operated by the residents. |
