Avondale Park provides 61 units of transitional housing and community support facilities. The transitional housing is arranged in neighborhood courtyard clusters with individual neighborhood character defined through colors, materials, and landscaping, and a variety of secure child play areas. Through a clear definition between public and private space, the placement of windows and bay windows, the limitation of access points, and dispersed private parking, each of the residents has visual surveillance of the activities of their visitors, children, and automobiles. |
