The Ida Jackson Residence Hall provides thirty apartments with 120 private student bedrooms in a four-story, wood-frame building with a variety of two- to six bedroom apartments. Students in each apartment share bathrooms, kitchen and living/dining room.

The 0.44-acre site is located one block from the University of California at the corner of College and Durant Avenues. The apartments are at the edge of Berkeley's Hillside District and adjacent to historic fraternity houses. The bustling neighborhood includes additional housing, dining, student services and parking. College Avenue is a major pedestrian corridor linking many neighborhoods to the upper campus.
