Just off Soquel Avenue in the Eastside Business District of Santa Cruz, Grace Commons is an affordable apartment building built on the site of the former Grace Methodist Church. The church played a critical role in the development of a housing complex that would serve psychiatrically-disabled residents. The building is less than 10,000 square feet and fits in well as the neighborhood transitions from busy Soquel Avenue on the north side, to the smaller-scale cottages and small apartment buildings on the south side. |
