Pyatok Architects' design for Seattle Cohousing won a competition sponsored by the City of Seattle for development of the city's surplus property on this steeply sloping site. The 27-unit development includes 16 townhouses in three buildings arranged around a common courtyard. The Common House includes two townhouse-type units, nine apartments, underground parking, and common facilities including a Dining Hall, Kitchen, Living Room, Children's Room, and outdoor terrace. A stand of large trees has been left intact on the eastern part of the site, which remains as common open space.
