This development consists of four buildings on a sloping, L-shaped, 0.87-acre site located between a major commercial thoroughfare and a single-family residential neighborhood. Thirty-seven units, ranging in size from studios to three bedrooms, are contained in a building that forms a visible transition from the commercial street to the neighborhood. The building presents a hard-edged, four-story façade on the street. As it terraces down the hillside, its style and massing become more compatible with the smaller scale of the adjacent houses. |
