Pickle Works is a new commercial building located in a formerly industrial district of Emeryville, CA. The prior structure served as a pickle factory during most of the 1900s. The historic brick façade was preserved and restored, seismically secured, and attached to a new steel commercial building, with 14’ high ceilings, abundant natural daylight and natural cross ventilation. Amenities for the building include a courtyard, open to the public during the day with a ‘pickle barrel’ fountain dais with integral seating, a trellised landscaped walkway with patios for building occupants’ use, and a custom fabricated bronze gate with a ‘pickle’ motif. |
