Peter Waller, Principal with Pyatok Architect since 2000, has twenty years of experience with infill
development and is dedicated to the gradual re-building of our cities and neighborhoods as sustainable,
diverse communities. With direct involvement of community members, he has successfully managed a
variety of project types, including affordable housing, mixed-use development, adaptive re-use,
market-rate workforce housing and student housing. He is a skilled, energetic manager of complex
stakeholder groups and has extensive experience leading community based design groups, including
large-scale workshops. Peter is active on a number of the firm’s large-scale urban design and master
planning projects and has expertise in zoning and planning policy. He regularly contributes to
outside efforts related to affordable housing and community development including speaking engagements,
participation on planning and policy task forces and through volunteer efforts. Peter is a past board
member of East Bay Habitat for Humanity.
