Thierry Roule
Director of Construction Administration (510) 465-7010 x107

Thierry brings a multi-facted background to his role as Senior Construction Administrator at PYATOK. A native of Saint Étienne, France, Thierry first moved to London, England before discovering the Bay Area and the architectural work of Charles Moore in 1980. Always drawn to crafts and the art of making, Thierry studied at the Academy of Art University where he earned a BFA in Interior Design with an emphasis in sculpture. Upon graduation he opted for a more hands-on approach to design when, rather than a design office, he joined a wood shop to hone his skills while fabricating high-end custom items for prominent artists and designers such as Mark Mack, David Ireland, and David Baker.

After 12 years as a fabricator, Thierry switched gears and began working in architectural design offices. Along the way he has picked up valuable expertise in accessible design as well as experience in most project types and phases. While at Kava Massih Architects, Thierry worked on three multifamily housing projects, Berkeley Bowl West, and the Contra Cost County District Attorney’s Office.

Thierry’s facility communicating with the building trades and evaluating constructability issues in contract documents has been an asset to the PYATOK team, where staff, engineers and clients have praised his solid work performance and follow-through.
