Sneha’s professional journey began by helping launch a branch architecture office in Hyderabad and coordinating civic projects ranging from two to 20 acres across India; her favorite aspect of that work was interacting with people from all different backgrounds. The pandemic inspired interest in impacts of the built environment on health, which led Sneha to joining a research group, and then attending the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to study health and wellbeing and trauma informed design.

Sneha considers design a tool for building meaning, value, and beauty, where the smallest design gesture can bear outsize impact. To her, social equity means addressing the needs of systemically neglected communities, which requires a suspension of assumptions and the utilization of evidence based design - values that really hit home upon touring affordable housing projects in Vancouver, British Columbia. Sneha’s pursuits extend at times beyond architecture, including recently leading a UI/UX design team in developing an educational resources app for high schoolers.

In her spare time, Sneha enjoys cooking and finding inspiration in neighborhood strolls.
