El Cerrito Plaza Parcel A-South introduces 100% affordable housing to a half acre of an erstwhile commuter parking lot.
Parcel A-South will be the first project to enter architectural design and construction as past of the larger, 8.3-acre El Cerrito Plaza BART transit-oriented development, which PYATOK is helping master plan. The entitled six-story, 71-foot-tall building is located immediately adjacent not only to the BART station and elevated line, but to the Ohlone Greenway pedestrian trail and the intersection of Central Avenue and Richmond Street. The project will include 70 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments above a ground level podium including a residential lobby, community room, conference room, manager and service provider offices, mail and parcel rooms, laundry, 106-space bike room, and a 35-space parking garage, all surrounding a 3,300-square-foot south-facing on-grade courtyard.
